Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of atomickeys.com and every purchase of a digital game key, activation code or other digital product you make from us. Please read them before you place an order — by ordering, you agree to be bound by them.

Acceptance of these terms
By accessing the Site, creating an account or placing an order, you confirm that you accept these Terms of Service and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site or purchase from us.
These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund Policy and Complaints Policy, which form part of the agreement between us.
We recommend that you print or save a copy of these terms for your records. We may amend them from time to time as described in Changes to these terms.
Eligibility and your account
Who may buy from us
To place an order you must:
- be at least 18 years old, or be 16 or 17 and have the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts responsibility for the order;
- be legally capable of entering into a binding contract;
- use a payment method that you are authorised to use; and
- provide accurate, current and complete information at checkout.
We sell to consumers for personal, non-commercial use. We do not knowingly sell to persons in territories subject to trade sanctions or where the sale of our Products is restricted by law.
Account security
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account. Tell us immediately at info@atomickeys.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
We may suspend, restrict or close an account where we reasonably believe it has been used in breach of these terms, for fraudulent purposes, or where required by law.
What you are buying
When you buy from AtomicKeys, you are buying a licence key or activation code that allows you to redeem a game or item on a third-party platform such as Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect, EA App, GOG, Xbox, PlayStation Network or Nintendo eShop.
You are not buying the game itself, and we are not the publisher or platform operator. Once your key is redeemed, your use of the game is governed by the end-user licence agreement and terms of the relevant publisher and platform, not by us.
Product descriptions, images, trailers and system requirements shown on the Site are supplied by publishers, distributors and aggregators. We take reasonable care to keep them accurate, but they are provided for guidance and may change without notice. Screenshots and artwork are for illustration only.
Regional restrictions, platforms and system requirements
Many digital keys carry restrictions imposed by the publisher. It is your responsibility to check the product page carefully before ordering. Common restrictions include:
| Restriction type | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Region lock | The key can only be activated from, or by an account registered in, a specific country or region. A key bought for the wrong region may not activate. |
| Platform lock | The key works only on the platform stated on the product page (for example Steam, and not Epic or GOG). |
| Language restriction | Some editions ship with a fixed set of language options. |
| Edition and DLC | Base games, deluxe editions, season passes and DLC are separate products. DLC usually requires the base game to be owned already. |
| Account requirement | Some titles require an additional publisher account (for example an EA or Ubisoft account) alongside the store account. |
| Online services | Multiplayer, servers and online features are provided by the publisher and may be changed or discontinued by them. |
You are also responsible for making sure your hardware and operating system meet the minimum system requirements. We cannot refund a key because your device does not meet the requirements published by the game’s developer.
Age ratings and content
Games sold on the Site carry age ratings issued by bodies such as PEGI, USK or the ESRB. These ratings reflect content that may be unsuitable for younger players.
By ordering a Product with an age rating of 18 (or the equivalent in your territory), you confirm that you are of that age or older. We may ask for evidence of age and may cancel an order where we are not satisfied that the age requirement is met.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising the games their children play and for using the parental controls provided by the relevant platform.
Placing an order and how a contract is formed
- You place an order. Adding items to your basket and completing checkout is an offer by you to buy the Products at the price shown.
- We acknowledge it. The order confirmation email we send is an acknowledgement that we have received your order. It is not, by itself, acceptance of it.
- We accept it. A binding contract comes into existence only when we deliver the key to you or send a separate email confirming that the Product is available and has been dispatched to your account.
- If we cannot supply. If a Product is unavailable, mispriced, or the order fails our fraud checks, we will notify you and refund any payment in full. No contract will have been formed.
Order limits and screening
We may limit the quantity of any Product per customer, per household or per order, and may refuse or cancel orders that appear to be placed for resale. All orders are subject to automated and manual fraud screening; see Payment and fraud prevention.
Prices, currency and taxes
- Prices are displayed on the product page in the currency shown at checkout and include VAT or equivalent sales tax where it applies.
- Prices can change at any time before you place an order. The price that applies is the one displayed when your order is submitted.
- If a currency converter or currency switcher is shown, it is provided for convenience only. The charge taken by your bank may differ slightly because of exchange rates and card issuer fees.
- Your bank or card issuer may apply a foreign transaction fee. That fee is a matter between you and them.
Despite our best efforts, a small number of Products may occasionally be mispriced. If the correct price is higher than the price stated on the Site, we will contact you before dispatch to ask whether you wish to continue at the correct price or cancel the order. If the pricing error is obvious and could reasonably have been recognised by you as an error, we are not required to supply the Product at the incorrect price.
Payment and fraud prevention
Payment is taken at the time you place your order, using the payment methods shown at checkout. Payments are processed by regulated third-party payment providers. We do not store your full card number on our systems.
Because digital keys are delivered instantly and cannot be recovered once issued, all orders pass through fraud screening. We may:
- delay delivery while a manual review is completed;
- ask you to verify your identity, address or ownership of the payment method;
- cancel and refund an order that does not pass our checks, without being obliged to explain the specific reason; and
- report suspected fraud to the payment provider and to the relevant authorities.
Placing an order using a payment method you are not authorised to use is a criminal offence and we will cooperate fully with law enforcement.
Delivery of your key
Products are delivered digitally. There is no physical shipment and no shipping cost.
| Delivery route | Typical timing |
|---|---|
| On-screen after checkout | Immediately, once payment and fraud checks have cleared |
| Order confirmation email | Within minutes of payment clearing |
| Your account area → Orders | Available for as long as your account remains open |
| Orders held for manual review | Usually within a few hours; up to 24 hours in exceptional cases |
| Pre-orders | On or shortly before the publisher’s release date |
If you have not received your key within 24 hours of a successful payment, please check your spam or junk folder first, then contact info@atomickeys.com quoting your order number. We will investigate and either deliver the key or refund you in full.
You are responsible for supplying a correct email address at checkout. We are not liable for non-delivery caused by an incorrect address, a full mailbox or an over-zealous spam filter, although we will always re-send a key from your account records on request.
Your right to cancel and why it usually ends on delivery
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers normally have 14 days to cancel a distance contract. For digital content that is supplied immediately, that right is subject to an important exception.
At checkout you expressly request immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once the key has been supplied to you. This is permitted by regulation 37 of the 2013 Regulations. We display this acknowledgement at checkout and record your consent with your order.
This does not affect your rights where the Product is faulty, not as described, or where the key does not work. Those rights are set out below and in our Refund Policy.
Where a key has not yet been revealed or delivered to you — for example an order still under review, or an unfulfilled pre-order — you may cancel by emailing info@atomickeys.com and we will refund you in full.
Faulty keys and your legal rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content supplied to a consumer must be:
- of satisfactory quality — it must work as a reasonable person would expect;
- fit for a particular purpose made known to us before purchase; and
- as described — it must match the description, edition, platform and region shown on the product page.
If a key does not work, has already been redeemed, is for the wrong region or platform, or does not match its description, contact us within a reasonable period and we will put it right. Our usual remedy is to supply a replacement key; if that is not possible or is not done within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a refund. Full details are in the Refund Policy.
Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank. In almost every case we can resolve the problem faster than a chargeback can.
Acceptable use of the Site
You may use the Site only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- resell, redistribute or commercially exploit keys bought from us without our written permission;
- use stolen, cloned or unauthorised payment details;
- use bots, scrapers, crawlers or automated tools to place orders, harvest content or monitor prices;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, databases or any connected system;
- introduce viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other malicious material;
- carry out a denial-of-service attack or interfere with the Site’s availability;
- submit false, defamatory, offensive or infringing content in reviews, forms or messages; or
- circumvent regional restrictions, licensing controls or platform terms.
Breaching this section may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report serious breaches to the relevant authorities and cooperate with them, including by disclosing your identity.
Suspension, cancellation and abuse
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, cancel pending orders and close your account, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe that:
- you have breached these terms;
- your account or payment method is being used fraudulently;
- you have made repeated unfounded refund or chargeback claims; or
- we are required to do so by law, by a payment provider or by a supplier.
Where we cancel an order that has already been paid for but not delivered, we will refund it in full. Where a key has already been delivered and redeemed, no refund is due unless your statutory rights apply.
Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including its design, layout, text, graphics, logos, icons and software — is owned by or licensed to ATOMICKEYS LTD and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.
You may view, download and print pages from the Site for your own personal use. You must not reproduce, republish, adapt, distribute or commercially exploit any part of it without our prior written consent.
Game titles, cover artwork, screenshots, publisher names, platform names and their associated logos are the trade marks and copyright of their respective owners. They appear on the Site solely to identify the Products offered for sale. AtomicKeys is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Valve Corporation, Epic Games, Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, CD PROJEKT, Microsoft, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Nintendo or any other publisher or platform operator.
If you believe content on the Site infringes your rights, please write to privacy@atomickeys.com with details of the work concerned, the location of the material and evidence of your rights. We operate a notice-and-takedown process and will act promptly on valid notices.
Third-party platforms, links and content
The Site contains links to third-party websites, stores and services. We do not control them, we are not responsible for their content, and a link does not imply endorsement. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.
Once a key is redeemed, the game and any related online service is provided to you by the publisher and the platform. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, their availability, server uptime, patches, content changes, account bans or the discontinuation of online features.
Availability of the Site
We aim to keep the Site available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Site may be unavailable during maintenance, updates or events outside our control, and we may change, suspend or withdraw all or part of it without notice.
You are responsible for arranging your own access to the internet and for ensuring that everyone who accesses the Site through your connection is aware of these terms.
Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- any matter for which it would be unlawful to limit or exclude liability; or
- your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that:
- we supply the Products for domestic and private use only, and we have no liability for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity;
- we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was formed; and
- our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the total amount paid by you for that order.
We are not liable for damage caused to your device or data by software you obtain from a third-party platform, or for the acts or omissions of publishers and platform operators.
Events outside our control
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where that failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control — including supplier failure, publisher withdrawal of a title, platform outages, cyber-attack, power or internet failure, industrial action, epidemic, fire, flood, act of terrorism, war or government action.
If such an event occurs, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and either extend the time for performance or, if the delay is substantial, cancel the affected order and refund you in full.
Complaints and dispute resolution
If something has gone wrong, tell us first — most issues are resolved within a working day. Email info@atomickeys.com or follow the escalation route set out in our Complaints Policy.
If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may be entitled to refer it to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider, or to pursue the matter through the courts. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform. Using ADR does not affect your right to take legal action.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in our business, our Products, or the law. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time you place your order, and the “last updated” date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
Where a change materially affects your rights, we will give reasonable notice — for example by email or by a prominent notice on the Site — before it takes effect. Changes do not apply retrospectively to orders already placed.
General
Transfer of rights
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, and will tell you in writing if we do. Your rights under these terms will not be affected. You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our written consent.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
Waiver
If we delay in enforcing any of these terms, or do not enforce them, that does not prevent us from enforcing them later.
Third-party rights
A person who is not a party to these terms has no right to enforce any of them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
Entire agreement
These terms, together with the policies referred to in them, constitute the entire agreement between us in relation to your use of the Site and your orders.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of them (including non-contractual disputes) are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your home nation. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of the country in which you live.
